The piece moves through a beautifully irregular rhythm of deep garnet-red glass, translucent turquoise glass, creamy stone-like beads and intricately patterned accents, interspersed with small hand-painted ceramic beads. Look closely and those ceramics reveal tiny illustrations—botanical motifs, fruit, florals and unexpected little creatures—giving the necklace the feeling of something assembled slowly from discoveries made along the way.
